About the author/photographer: Elena has lived (mostly) in Puerto Rico since she was 3 years old. She has traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean on a sailboat and made 8 trips to India. She travelled around Europe and studied in Switzerland and has also visited Egypt.

Elena worked as a sailboat skipper for some years and as an art teacher and potter.

Elenas' close connection to the beaches and snorkeling, due to her kayaking, and her extensive knowledge of Vieques and Puerto Rico gave her the idea for this web-site. She designes and maintains these web sites, they are a great place for her to show the world her many photographs of her home:
