Vieques - The town of Isabel Segunda, on the north coast, is the historic part and the main or only real town. The ferry docks there. The plaza in the center of town is surrounded by city hall and churches. Main street has the post office, two banks and general stores. On the south coast of Vieques, Esperanza has a nice waterfront, which is the tourist 'strip'. Lodging is scattered around the island. There are 3 guesthouses in Isabel, many in Esperanza and many in the surrounding countryside. The one Luxury Resort is the W, on the north coast. Restaurants are everywhere and in multitude! The biobay can be visited by kayak or pontoon boat. Tours start at $30. The only bargain you may find in all of Vieques! .. other than the great lunch at El Patio Restaurant in Isabel.
