BIOBAY TOUR OPTIONS:
• For those of you in great shape you might want to try the clear plastic see through canoes! A really exciting experience! However; they are difficult to get back into after swimming, unless you are very strong. The guides do help you.
• For those of you in good shape and like kayaking, the double sit on tops with positive flotation are easy, even for first time kayakers. Kayaking in the biobay is a marvelous experience!
• For those of you who feel concerned about kayaking the pontoon boat has a great ladder and offers the easiest way to get back out of the water. This is best if you have small children. It accommodates 49 people.
Kama Guesthouse is located in the town of Isabel Segunda, just a few blocks from the ferry dock. There are more than 5 fine restaurants to choose from within a few blocks & a couple of bakeries. Hooray! The ferries are back on track now and better than ever with a new addition coming soon. A car rental may be available, if booked sufficiently in advance.
We charge a 30% non-refundable* deposit to hold your reservation and the remainder upon check in. Half of the initial deposit will be returned if you cancel with more than 10 days advance notice.
RENTING A JEEP:
The average price for a rental Jeep is $92. per day. ( Which is a $75. rental fee, tax and full coverage insurance, two day minimum rental on weekends.) Why so expensive? . . because many roads to explore are long dirt roads and the vehicles do not last long. Please note that the speed limit on US Fish & Wildlife Reserves is 15 miles per hour.. ( 16 miles per hour may get you a ticket!). Easier to take a guided tour if you are only staying 2 nights.
$115. per person. Gives you a room for two nights, two breakfasts and a biobay excursion.
